About Us

Takaka is located approximately 100km north west of Nelson in Golden Bay. Around 4000 people reside in Golden Bay, where the main industry is Dairy Farming. The Fonterra factory located in Takaka, was the scene of a major fire in 2005 that caused millions of dollars of damage.

 

We have 3 appliances, Takaka 397, Takaka 391 and Takaka 3911, a tanker owned By the Takaka Fire Brigade Trust.
