About Us

The major hazards in Rahotu are STOS On-Shore Plant, LPG pipeline, two marae and a service station (above ground tank). Other risks we have identified are the supermarket, three halls, two schools, Rahotu Panel & Paint, rugby club, MVA's, LPG Tankers, Rahotu Tavern, Camp Egmont Boat Club, Holdom Plant Hire and Pungarehu Factory (fertiliser factory).

The brigade is supported by the Opunake and Okato Brigades, which are about 15kms away.

Rahotu is a small town situated south-west of New Plymouth on SH 45 with a population of about 600 people. Rahotu is predominantly residential with a small CBD with mostly light industrial to service the rural community.
