One person was treated for smoke inhalation following a fire at a west Auckland factory earlier today.
About 11 fire service crews attended the fire at the Huhtamaki factory, which manufactures disposable packaging, in Henderson.
Fire communications centre shift manager Jaron Phillips said emergency services were first alerted to the fire about 11.15am.
The fire encompassed most of the roof void at the factory but did not spread any further.
Mr Phillips said one staff member was treated for smoke inhalation.
Ambulance communications centre team manager Murray Bannister said all injured people were treated at the scene and nobody required transportation to hospital.
Hazardous materials fire crews were also called to the scene after reports there could be asbestos at the site, though it was not involved in the fire.
Mr Phillips said the fire was contained by 1.40pm and some of the crews started heading back about 3pm.
