The New Zealand Fire Service has received a large number of enquiries from the public wishing to express their support to the families of fire fighters involved in the tragic Tamahere fire last weekend.

A fund has been established at the Westpac Bank, which is accepting donations to go towards the ongoing support of the fire fighters and their families.

Donations can be made across the counter at any branch of the Westpac Bank to the Tamahere Firefighters Family Fund (TFFF).

The Fire Service, and the families of the firefighters involved in the fire, greatly appreciate the many heart-felt messages of support received from members of the public.
