The NZFS has a welfare team dedicated to coordinating assistance for personnel who have been affected by the Christchurch earthquake.
The Welfare team is operating from Christchurch City Station and is responding to requests received from firefighters and their families to manage their immediate and ongoing welfare needs as a result of the earthquake.
The welfare team can be contacted on (03) 371-3647. All calls are totally confidential.
Any firefighter (or family member) affected by the earthquake, in any way, are encouraged to contact the welfare number for assistance and support.
