Over several weeks the child is visited in the home by a trained fire fighter called an FAIP Practitioner. These practitioners are trained to work with children. The programme content and delivery varies according to the age and maturity of the child.

Working with you, as parents and caregivers, and your child, we develop an awareness of fire safety issues in the home and the community. The aim of the programme is to teach the child a greater respect for fire and its potential consequences.
